Must-Have :

Telemetry

Interpretation of dysrhythmias

Management of dysrhythmias

Description :

Two years of Telemetry RN experience is required.

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Six weekend shifts in six weeks per contract.

The nurse is required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Blocking will be at the discretion of unit leaders.

The candidate must accept first-time traveler positions.

Patient diagnoses managed include :

Congestive Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarction, Atrial Fibrillation / Atrial Flutter, Cardiac Dysrhythmias, Stroke / TIA, End Stage Renal Disease, Acute Kidney Failure, Seizures, COPD, Diabetes, COVID, Pneumonia, Encephalopathy, Altered Mental Status, Urinary Tract Infection, Sepsis, Chest Pain, Hypertension.

Special procedures performed include :

Peritoneal Dialysis, Dysrhythmia / Telemetry Monitoring.

Special equipment utilized includes :

Safe Patient Handling Equipment, Ceiling lifts in every room.

The patient care team includes interdisciplinary support from Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary.

The nurse will be responsible for patient care in a setting with an average daily census of 27 and a total of 34 beds.
