Job Description
Step into a day where blueprints become precision parts
You start by spreading a new 2D drawing across your bench. You map out the best way to cut, turn, and measure. You translate the print into a clear machining strategy, interpret CNC programs and job layouts, and set the work up for success. Throughout the run, you fine-tune processes for efficiency and consistency, verify parts against the blueprint and inspection procedures, and partner with newer operators to set up machines and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
What you'll do
- Develop machining processes based on a blueprint, from sequence planning to tool selection.
- Read and interpret CNC programs or job layouts to drive accurate setups and production.
- Inspect parts to blueprint and defined inspection procedures to ensure conformance.
- Adjust machine processes to improve throughput, stability, and part quality.
- Assist basic machine operators with setups and troubleshooting during production.
