MISSION
This Operations Manager role leads a critical facility within a national supply and manufacturing network. As second-in-command to the site’s General Manager, this leader ensures safe, efficient, and people-first operations across a 24 / 5 production and distribution environment. This position plays a vital role in stabilizing frontline performance while scaling output in a rapidly growing regional hub.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Safety Leadership – Sustain a high-performing safety culture. Engage employees across three shifts in proactive hazard awareness, procedural adherence, and daily accountability.
Team Stability – Coach and stabilize a team of ~40+ employees (full-time and hourly). Reduce reliance on temp labor by developing a core workforce with strong retention and leadership bench strength.
Production Execution – Oversee high-volume processing lines on first and second shifts, ensuring throughput, quality, and schedule adherence across upgraded equipment and evolving flow paths.
Fulfillment & Logistics – Direct second and third shift teams in order fulfillment and outbound logistics. Maintain daily load schedules across regional markets with accuracy and cost efficiency.
Process Improvement – Lead lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts focused on cost, flow, and asset utilization. Help drive ROI on recent capital investments across the facility.
Succession Planning – Serve as a transition point from a long-tenured operations leader. Capture and embed institutional knowledge while elevating next-generation frontline leaders.
FIT TRAITS
Visible Leadership – Ground-level presence with a bias for action, hands-on coaching, and engagement with all shifts.
People-First Mindset – Leads with respect, structure, and consistency. Prioritizes development, inclusion, and performance clarity.
Operational Focus – Comfortable leading in dynamic, shift-based manufacturing / distribution environments.
Growth Mentality – Embraces process evolution, capital project integration, and the discipline required to scale a high-performing operation.
COMMANDER’S INTENT

Success looks like safe, smooth production across all shifts—with people aligned, work flowing, and the mission executed daily. If you lead with clarity, coach with purpose, and thrive in operational urgency—this role is built for you.
