Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Charge Nurse and CNA Supervisor, the Certified Nurse Aide will assume direct care for residents in the Care Center in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies, and procedures. Communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. The position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Standards Of Performance

Requirements

Minimum Level of Education : Education level equivalent to completion of high school, and or completion of Certified Nurse Aide Training course of study.

Formal Training : None

Licensure, Certification, Registration : Must have and maintain a valid unencumbered Georgia Certified Nurse Aid Certification, and current Basic Life Support CPR certification.

Work Experience : One-year of experience in healthcare as a CNA is preferred.
