Job descriptionDemonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) for the role Supervise day-to-day operations and team performance to provide high levels of customer service Understand and communicate the company strategy and core values to foster teamwork Handle customer concerns and resolve issues appropriately Maintain store signage, product quality and freshness Assist in hiring store personnel by reviewing resumes / applications and interviewing candidates Prepare, manage, and revise weekly schedules to ensure appropriate staffing Set and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations Conduct store meetings and identify development opportunities for direct reports Conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend advancement or termination as appropriate Achieve store payroll and total loss budgets Manage cash audits with their direct leader per company guidelines Monitor local competitive environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue Provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors; address hazards and maintain equipment Oversee product merchandising and maintain stock levels; conduct inventory counts per guidelines Comply with company policies and protect data confidentiality Other duties as assigned Stock merchandise from receiving to shelving; lift up to 45 pounds Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations Age 18 or older Ability to work independently and in a team Provide prompt and courteous customer service and lead others to do so Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication with direct reports Ability to interpret and apply company policies Ability to set goals and guide performance Ability to evaluate and drive performance of self and others Understanding of budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately Safe operation of equipment (e.g., floor scrubber) and general cleaning to company standards Organized multitasking with attention to detail Meets state / local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge Prior management experience preferred Full-Time Store Manager Trainees may train at multiple locations and must be flexible to travel within divisional requirements Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Plan with Company Matching Contributions Employee Assistance Program (EAP) PerkSpot National Discount Program Generous Vacation Time & 7 Paid Holidays Up to 6 Weeks Paid Parental Leave at 100% pay Up to 2 Weeks Paid Caregiver Leave at 100% pay Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance Life, Dependent Life and AD&D Insurance Voluntary Term Life Insurance

As a Store Manager Trainee, you'll train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for running your own store. You'll supervise day-to-day store activities, help ensure overall store performance, identify staffing needs, manage schedules and develop operational action plans while mentoring and developing the team.

- Estimated Hours : 45 hours per week
- Store Manager Trainee Starting Wage : $28.50 per hour
- Estimated Store Manager Earning Potential Year 1 : Up to $109,000 (inclusive of salary and bonus when applicable)
