Job description

Lab Technician 1 Day Shift (7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM)

Location : Franklin Lakes, NJ

Duration : 12+Months contract

Industry : Global Medical Technology Company

Job Summary :

As a Lab Technician 1, you will support daily lab activities, test method development, and equipment qualification. Youll perform engineering tests, assist with documentation, and support lab projects all under supervision.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Run basic mechanical tests (e.g., tensile / compression testing) using Instron equipment and BlueHill 3 or Universal software
  • Perform design verification, stability, and test method development
  • Help with equipment qualifications (IQ, OQ) and Test Method Validations (TMV)
  • Record and report data accurately using Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Support troubleshooting and improve lab processes
  • Maintain a clean, safe lab environment and follow safety protocols

Work Hours :

  • Day Shift : 7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM (8 hours + 30-minute lunch)
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Occasionally cover day shift when night supervisor is unavailable (for safety compliance no solo equipment use allowed)

    • Requirements :

    Education (one of the following) :

  • Bachelors degree (no experience required)
  • Associate degree (no experience required)
  • High school diploma + 4 years of lab or regulated industry experience

    • Skills :

  • Basic mechanical testing (Instron preferred)
  • Attention to detail; accurate data collection
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Team player, organized, and dependable
  • Basic technical writing and troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

    • Work Conditions :

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Lab environment use of PPE and possible exposure to chemicals or biological materials
