Job description

Responsibilities for Sr. Controls Software Engineer needed (Direct Hire)

  • Creating and commissioning industrial controls systems, PLC software

design, and HMI screens

  • Responsible for PLC / HMI code development, code installation, debug on job

    • site, and commissioning of the complete system

  • Responsible for controls systems design, programming, testing, and

    • troubleshooting.

  • Will work with cross functional teams to solve equipment and customer

    • issues.

  • Debug and commission 840D controls system in motion control application.
  • Cell debug on shop floor and during install full time at customer location.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

    • Skills / Experience Required :

  • XXXX+ years of Controls Engineering / PLC / HMI programming experience
  • The ability to program / write code / ladder logic from scratch
  • Prior experience with automotive manufacturing integration and

    • commissioning.

  • Prior experience programming within customer-defined standards and

    • templates

  • Proficient with a variety of field bus networks including but not limited to

    • Ethernet I / P, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc. a plus.

    o Non-Global Common Controls (Siemens)

    Qualifications for Controls Technician

    Specific platforms

  • Siemens Step 7
  • Siemens 840D Motion control (non-CNC applications)
  • Siemens TIA Portal
  • Siemens Sinumerik One
  • Fanuc Robotics

    • Other platforms

  • Rockwell / Allen Bradley
  • Robotics : Kuka, Abb

    • General

  • Engineering Degree not required.
  • Driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to effectively manage time.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently without much supervision.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
