  • Call Response Time : 30 minutes

COVERAGE DATES

  • 7 shifts per month, starting October 1, 2025

    • PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics : Adults only
  • Patient Volume / Census : STEMI patients only admitted
  • Admissions : Average 2 admissions while on call
  • Rounding : Included
  • Case Mix : Interventional Cardiology (Cath lab, STEMI)

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • Trauma Level : Level II
  • EMR System : Epic and Cerner
  • Specialty Backup Available : APP / Nurse Practitioner support during daylight and weekends
  • Support Staff Available : APPs, NPs
  • Reason for Coverage : Turnover Vacancy

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes (Full Privileges)
  • Temporary Privileges Available : Not specified
  • Credentialing Timeline : 30 days

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered
  • Travel Notes :
  • Economy airfare with 1 checked bag
  • Lodging capped at $150 / night for non-preferred hotels (no incidentals)
  • Mileage reimbursed per IRS rates
  • Rental car : Mid-size ($50 / day) or 4WD SUV ($75 / day in winter)

  • Outpatient and inpatient catheterizations
  • STEMI coverage

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active PA license highly preferred
  • Board : Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
  • DEA : Required
  • Certifications : ACLS
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years in specialty
  • Other Qualifications : Must hold MD or DO credentials

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide call coverage starting at 0800
  • Perform outpatient and inpatient catheterizations
  • Handle STEMI cases and coverage
  • Coordinate with APPs and NPs for patient care
  • Participate in weekend rounding and discharges for IC / NIC / EP patients
