Job descriptionPromote dental health by performing dental prophylaxis, conducting oral cancer screenings, and carrying out radiographic studies in accordance with the Dental Practice Act. Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming them, seating them, and preparing them for procedures. Provide clear information to patients and staff by addressing inquiries and requests. Maintain dental hygiene instruments by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting appropriate tools. Assess patients’ oral health to select suitable materials and equipment for treatment. Conduct thorough dental prophylaxis by cleaning teeth and removing stains from below gum margins. Detect oral diseases through screenings, gum examinations, and radiographic evaluations. Prevent dental decay by applying fluoride and other cavity-prevention agents. Must hold an active dental hygiene license in Indiana. Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills to educate patients on maintaining oral health.
Pay Range : $45.00 - $65.00 / hour
