Location : Tucson, AZ 85741 – Southern Arizona healthcare facility

Position : Operating Room (OR) Tech – First Assist (Locum Tenens)

Employment Type : Travel contract, 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)

Shift : 4x10 hour days (06 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM), rotating days off

On-Call : Night and weekend call required

Electronic Medical Record : Cerner

Scrubs : Provided

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1690 - $1820

Qualifications – OR Tech First Assist

Certified First Assist credential (required)

BLS certification (required)

First Assist case logs for temporary privileges

NPI number required at submission

Minimum 1 year of experience as an OR Tech First Assist or Surgical First Assistant

Responsibilities – Operating Room Tech First Assist

Provide first assist support during surgical procedures in the operating room

Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care

Maintain sterile technique, assist with instrument handling, suturing, and wound closure

Participate in night and weekend on-call rotations as scheduled

Accurately document surgical procedures and patient information in Cerner EMR
