We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Surgical Technologist III to join our dynamic operating room team. This advanced-level surgical tech position specializes in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures, open heart surgery, and hybrid endovascular operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical expertise across multiple surgical specialties while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and sterile technique. Key Responsibilities

• Serve as first scrub surgical technologist, expertly handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during complex cardiovascular and general surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs during CVOR, open heart, robotic, vascular, neuro/spine, total joint, and burn surgery procedures
• Maintain strict sterile field protocols and continuously monitor for contamination throughout operative procedures
• Function as second scrub when required, assisting surgeons with sponging, suctioning, suture cutting, retractor holding, and endoscopic camera manipulation
• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for adolescent (12-17 years), adult (18-64 years), and geriatric (65+ years) patient populations
• Demonstrate lead competency in specialty areas including robotic surgery, total joint replacement, neurosurgery, spine surgery, burn care, and vascular procedures
• Collaborate effectively with OR team members including surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical assistants
• Ensure proper equipment functionality and supply availability for all scheduled procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of surgical technology best practices

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CVOR and Open Heart surgical technologist experience (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR Tech in Surgery (TS-C) certification from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Demonstrated competency to perform as lead surgical tech in all of the following specialties: Robotic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Neurosurgery/Spine Surgery, Burn Surgery, and Vascular Surgery
• Two years of prior experience in a similar-sized healthcare facility with comparable surgical services

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of CVOR experience with extensive endovascular and hybrid operating room expertise
• Advanced certifications in specialized surgical areas
• Experience with the latest surgical technology and robotic surgical systems
