Communications Specialist I

About This Role

This position is the link between police officers and dispatch. The position answers the phone, assists customers and then relays appropriate information to the officer in the field utilizing police band radio and additional law enforcement-designated communication systems.

This position is On-site .

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications :

• Requires a high school diploma, and the following credentials : Hearing must be correctable to a range that will allow normal radio and telephone conversation with field units, vision must be correctable to a range that will allow reading of computer display terminals, maps and printouts quickly and accurately and applicants must be free of felony convictions.
