Job Description :
As a Support & Installation Technician at InStore, you'll play a critical role in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing the essential technologies that power our customers' operations. From high-performance grocery point-of-sale (POS) systems to advanced networking and digital retail solutions, you'll ensure that our clients stay online, competitive, and future-ready.
This is a hybrid field / office role requiring a blend of onsite installations, remote diagnostics, proactive maintenance, and hands-on system upgrades. You'll be the face of InStore's technology team, delivering exceptional service while working with leading-edge hardware and software platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute professional onsite installations of integrated retail technology systems across our customer base.
- Provide technical support both remotely and onsite, including real-time diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks to minimize downtime and improve system performance.
- Complete in-house system upgrades, hardware repairs, and software reconfigurations.
- Document all service activities in our support systems, maintaining accuracy and accountability.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in retail IT, contributing to product evaluations and deployment readiness for new tools and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding, issue resolution, and project rollouts.
Technology Stack You'll Support :

Hands-on experience with POS or retail IT systemsWorking knowledge of networking concepts (LAN / WAN, IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS)Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with Windows OS administration and peripheral device integrationExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently in the field and manage multiple projects concurrentlyWillingness to travel locally for onsite service and installation workWhat We Offer :
