American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Behavioral Health position in Oklahoma, requiring a compact RN license and pediatric experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Pediatric Behavioral Health unitPatient population includes children with Major Depressive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, and Generalized Anxiety DisorderUnit has 25 rooms and 50 beds with an average daily census of 30 and a 1 : 4 nurse-to-patient ratioTypical responsibilities include Q15 monitoring, suicide risk screenings, physical and chemical restraint usage, oral medication management, environmental safety checks, and close monitoring of high-risk patientsUses the Epic EMR systemShifts are either 7 : 00 am - 3 : 00 pm or 3 : 00 pm - 11 : 00 pm and may include both as neededNo on-call requiredFloating may be required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radiusResponsibilities include completing daily physical and environmental safety assessments, suicide risk assessments, and administering medicationsMust follow blue scrub dress codeNo holiday or blackout date time off requests will be consideredReturning staff must be gone at least 1 year from the organization before being eligible for placement\n \n Requirements\n
Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredTherapeutic Options certification required (facility offers training if not already certified)Must provide a valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address dated within the last 3 monthsPermanent residence must be more than 75 miles from the facilityMaximum of 5 days of requested time off will be acceptedFirst-time travelers are welcome\n Benefits\n
