Responsibilities Position set in the Emergency Department of a Level 2 Trauma Center 18-bed unit caring for patients of all ages including cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases Typical patient volume averages 92 per day Nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 3 12-hour shifts available for days, evenings, or nights Every third weekend rotation is required No on-call required Board-certified ER physician present at all times, with PA and EMT support in the ED Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system are used Travelers may occasionally float between facilities in the Central Region (Wausau, Merrill, Langlade) RNs provide care for a wide range of emergency conditions and are responsible for drawing labs and administering neb treatments Average orientation consists of two days of general hospital training, one day of Epic EMR training, and two days department-specific with preceptor Scrubs of your choice are permitted No call required Facility may reduce hours up to 36 hours per 13-week contract Willingness to work varied shifts and float as needed is necessary Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required Emergency Department experience is required Trauma experience is strongly preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624177.
