Collection Specialist

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely cash collections by managing assigned accounts and denied claims

Research outstanding balances, take necessary collection actions, and recommend demographic changes for future collections

Review and resolve billing errors, negotiate payment plans, and interact with third-party collection agencies

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required; some college preferred

Minimum of one (1) year experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and reimbursement processes

Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ is a plus

Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with a 10-key calculator
