Kidney Associates Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nephrology Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The NP will work collaboratively with our nephrologists to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with acute and chronic kidney diseases in inpatient, outpatient clinic, and dialysis settings.
Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations of patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.
Develop, implement, and manage evidence-based treatments plans for patients with various kidney disorders.
Prescribe and manage medications, with a focus on preserving renal function and managing comorbidities.
Coordinate and mange care for patients undergoing all modalities of dialysis (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis) and those awaiting or post-transplant.
Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
Service as a liaison and effectively communicate with patients and all members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR).
Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Ohio
National board certification (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organization skills.
