Test Flight Electrician

This role is in Textron System's Marine & Land Systems business area.
A Test Flight Electrician performs all tasks associated with electrical/electronic system testing and maintenance as assigned by management.
Responsibilities:
- Electrical/Electronic system test conduct
- Electrical/Electronic system troubleshooting & resolution
- Conduct maintenance on electrical/electronic systems
- Electrical/Electronic support for craft operations on ramp & underway
- Cable fabrication, electrical panel assembly, wire stripping, electrical schematics layouts, hook-ups, and soldering
- Must be able to work from Engineering drawings, sketches, blueprints, schematics and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Perform job duties with the use of basic hand tools such as screw drivers, pliers, wire cutters, drill motors, sand and grinding tools, etc.
- Maintain records, forms, and logs as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.
Position Requirements:
- Formal craft training and three (3) plus years of related experience, preferably in marine vessel testing.
- Ability to read blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and drawings is necessary to the completion of tasks or work.
- Must be able to perform basic (simple) shop mathematics.
- Must be willing to work rotating/second shift.
- Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task or work with little or no prior notification.
Physical Demand Level - Medium: Must be able to perform medium physical labor as classified by the United States Department of Labor. Physical demands typically involve lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling not to exceed 60 lbs.
