Project Accountant

We are looking for a Project Accountant to support financial tracking and reporting for projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of information to project managers and leadership.

Responsibilities of the Project Accountant :

Manage project budgets, cost tracking, billing, and expense allocations.

Prepare monthly project financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses.

Review contracts and ensure compliance with client and company requirements.

Support project managers with forecasting, invoicing, and financial closeouts.

Assist with audits, funding compliance, and process improvements.

Qualifications of the Project Accountant :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

1-3 years of accounting experience (project-based industries preferred).

Strong understanding of GAAP and project cost accounting.

Proficiency in Excel and project accounting / ERP systems (e.g., Deltek, SAP, Oracle).

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
