Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor (Avionics) position in the Industrial & Transportation Technologies department of the Academic & Student Affairs division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Under general supervision of the Dean of the Industrial & Transportation Technology department and Program Chairperson, the Adjunct Avionics Instructor is responsible for delivering education services to students through various resources and platforms.This is apart-timeposition,and itrequiresutilizing techniques that facilitate adult learning styles and demonstrates varying techniques.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
·Teach eveningavionicsclasses.
·PreparesyllabusandothermaterialssuchasPowerPointpresentationsusedclassroom instruction and assistwithcurriculumdevelopment.
·Setupcourse(shells)inBlackboard.
·Manageclassroombyloggingattendance,andreportingno-shows,assigningandreportinggradesinatimelymanner Gradestudentassignments, as well as submitfinalgrades.
·Advise and counsel students and maintain appropriate advisement records on each student and assistwithrecruitmentefforts.
·Attenddepartmentandothermeetingsassociatedwiththeavionicsprogramasrequested.
·MaintainprofessionalqualificationsasappropriateforthefieldandasdescribedbytheTechnicalCollegeSystemofGeorgia(TCSG)PolicyManual.
·FollowrulesandregulationsasdescribedbytheTCSGPolicyManual,andotherpoliciesandproceduresestablishedbytheinstitution
·Supportthemissionandvisionofthecollege,programandTCSG; and
·Performother program-related duties,asassigned.
Competencies:
- Must possess and demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication skills, well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
·Ability to multi-task and perform administrative duties for class management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Avionics or Electronics from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated FCC or CET licenses.
- Post-secondary teaching experience is a plus.
