Pharmacy Technician Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an oncology, infusion, or hospital pharmacy setting
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of Georgia
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Chemo Certification required
- Proficiency in IV start skills and implanted port access
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety in a clinical environment
Key Responsibilities - Prepare and administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments in an outpatient oncology infusion center
- Safely access implanted ports and initiate IVs for infusion therapies
- Work closely with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication dispensing
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Provide compassionate support to oncology patients throughout their treatment
- Assist with pharmacy inventory management and medication preparation
