Accounting Specialist - Construction Division

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Accounts Payable department with invoice entry, coding, and review of daily transactions.
- Approve AP batches and ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
- Locate vendors within the ERP system and correctly match invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
- Review and understand general ledger (GL) accounts, ensuring expenses are recorded properly.
- Process and reconcile prepaid expenses, including monthly amortizations.
- Collaborate effectively with vendors to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, and maintain strong relationships.
- Download, organize, and analyze financial data from internal systems for reporting and reconciliation.
- Manipulate and interpret data in Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP , pivot tables , and basic formulas.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, reconciliations, and other accounting duties as needed.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by bringing a friendly, upbeat, and solutions-oriented approach to daily tasks.
