Job description

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Acruex Health to find a qualified X-Ray Tech in Berlin, New Hampshire, 03570!

Pay Information

$29 to $37 per hour

About The Position

Permanent (Full Time)

  • Currently offering a $7,500 Sign-on Bonus

Pay Rate :  $29.32 - $36.65 / hourly.

Summary :   The Radiologic Technologist operates under the direction of the radiologists and the supervision of the Director of Radiology, operates a Computerized Tomographic scanner to image the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities.

Responsibilities :

  • Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders.
  • Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions.
  • Positioning patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
  • Limiting patients' exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.
  • Ensuring that the x-rays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures.

    Job Requirements

    Requirements :

  • Must be a graduate of an American Medical Association-approved school of radiologic technology and be registered in at least radiography. Required.
  • Additional certification in computed tomography. Preferred.
  • Training and / or experience specific to radiology practices regarding neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and must be willing to cross-train in additional imaging modalities. Required.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, practitioners, and visitors, willingness to work in a team-oriented environment, ability to work independently, and effective communication skills. Required.
  • Familiarity with computer applications Required.
  • ARRT Certification.
  • BLS Certification.
