Production Scheduler

Responsible for strategically developing run plans for all packaging production lines in order to champion successful, efficient and accurate completion of production jobs through the department.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Utilizes set production rules and loading schedules to build a product sequence run order for all production lines.
- Analyzes capacity of resources in partnership with the Production Leadership and balances the workload accordingly in order to meet the target dates as identified on the Master Production Schedule.
- Collaborates with Planning department on new product launches and capacity needs for the launch.
- Works closely with Operations Production Management, Cell leaders, and plant personnel on schedule changes, rushes, and production inquiries.
- Analyzes lead times with operations and supply chain to ensure schedule accuracy.
- Works with Sr. Manager of Packaging Operations to develop KPI's around machine utilization and efficiency rates to help overall productivity and production predictability.
- Tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules with Production Coordinators and Leads.
- Monitors daily production process, workflow, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Efficiently assigns production schedules to minimize throughput costs.
- Reviews production specifications; identifies and reports plant capacity constraints.
- Analyzes past and present data to generate reports and effective schedules.
- Generates daily or weekly production reports to managers for critical decision-making purposes.
- Creates and publishes high level integrated master schedules in accordance with the requirements of the relevant production stakeholders.
- Coordinates with production to develop and maintain scheduling parameters.
- Works with managers to develop potential solutions to improve capacity and production performance.
- Works with floor leadership to execute and implement process improvements.
- Facilitates daily, weekly and monthly scheduling reviews.
- Collaborates as an active member of the Packaging Leadership Team and engages with other members of the team on initiatives as required.

5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or production environmentMinimum of 1-year work experience as a production scheduler or in a similar position in the production industryEducation :
