Job Description

Part-Time Physical Therapist (Outpatient Orthopedic – Sorrento Valley, San Diego)

About Us

Advanced Physical Therapy & Wellness is a family-owned, cash-based private practice in Rancho Bernardo specializing in orthopedic rehab, wellness, and performance. We’re known for our hands-on, personalized approach and strong community connection - helping active adults, professionals, and athletes recover from pain and get back to doing what they love.

We pride ourselves on creating a fun, growth-oriented, and family-like environment where clinicians can thrive. Our team was built on the belief that exceptional care starts with one-on-one attention, manual therapy expertise, and genuine relationships with our patients.

We’re seeking a part-time Physical Therapist (20-25 hours / week) who is upbeat, motivated, and passionate about delivering exceptional one-on-one care.

An ideal candidate is someone who :

  • Has strong hands-on skills and enjoys manual therapy (or is eager to develop them through mentorship).
  • Values connection and education as much as clinical results.
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team where feedback, growth, and learning are encouraged.
  • Is excited to be part of a tight-knit, positive culture - not a high-volume clinic.
  • Brings energy, professionalism, and curiosity to every session.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat orthopedic and sports-related conditions using evidence-based and manual therapy techniques.
  • Create personalized home programs and clearly communicate plans of care.

  • Vibrant Enthusiasm - Bring energy and positivity to every interaction.
  • Empathy & Team Focus - Support teammates and patients alike.
  • Resilient Confidence - Face challenges head-on with solutions in mind.
  • Requirements

  • California PT license (or PTLA status).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for helping people stay active for life - not just recover.
  • Interest in wellness and injury-prevention care is a plus.
  • Perks & Benefits

  • Flexible schedule (part-time, 20–25 hours / week).
