System One is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer (Process Integration) to support advanced nuclear reactor development and contribute to work that is shaping the future of clean energy and medical isotope production. This role supports the Natrium project and focuses on engineering process integration across internal teams and external design partners.
This is a long-term contract role with full remote flexibility.
Position Overview
The Natrium Systems Engineer (Process Integration) reports to the Manager of Engineering Process. This role serves as the primary liaison between the Engineering Process team, internal stakeholders, and external design partners. The engineer ensures project-wide alignment on systems engineering processes, requirements, design integration, and verification / validation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage System Engineering Process documentation
- Support process reviews to ensure compliance with established engineering processes
- Assist the Requirements Management team with developing and documenting validation and verification processes
- Serve as the communication interface with external design partners to maintain integrated and consistent engineering processes
- Advocate internally for process integration needs identified by design partners
- Support development and continual improvement of integrated project engineering processes across systems, components, testing, construction, and operations
- Help refine and standardize the integrated design process model using systems engineering methodologies
- Support creation and maintenance of procedures, forms, work guides, tools, and training related to design control and configuration management
- Monitor performance of design partners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to design execution standards
- Identify and resolve deficiencies in process or tool implementation
- Assist in creating and delivering system engineering training for project personnel
- Support implementation of systems engineering principles for current and future projects
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5+ years of experience in system and integrated product designExperience applying configuration management principles in engineering environmentsBackground in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, LEAN, TQM, or value engineeringStrong knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and processes (highly desired)Experience implementing Verification and Validation processes (highly desired)Familiarity with ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, or similar design-quality standardsProven ability to coordinate across internal and external organizational boundaries on large, complex projectsProject management experience preferredStrong technical writing, communication, and presentation skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to technical excellenceAbility to lead and coordinate engineering activities with minimal oversightStrong interpersonal communication skills and ability to support team collaborationHigh integrity, transparency, and professionalismSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
