Description : Job Overview :

Oversees all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of accounting principles, and a proven track record of driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Management

  • Oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting principles and standards.
  • Lead external audits including the preparation of financial reporting.
  • Interpret complex financial transactions, including acquisitions, investments, divestitures, restructuring activities, etc.
  • Financial Analysis and Strategy

  • Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health and performance of the company, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to executive management on key financial and operational issues.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic financial initiatives to drive growth and profitability.
  • Leads annual financial audits.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable budgets.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members are equipped to excel in their roles and achieve departmental goals.
  • Requirements : Qualifications :

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA designation preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in real estate or property management industry preferred.
  • Skills

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute financial strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of broader operations, how business units work together and how their work contributes to the success of the organization.
