Description :
The Staff Nurse, RN provides nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes.
The role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating the patient's plan of care.
The Staff Nurse creates an atmosphere that supports the mission to care, heal, and educate.
As the primary caregiver, the Staff Nurse provides direct patient care.
The incumbent works collaboratively with other care team members, physicians, and patients / families.
The goal is to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The Staff Nurse has access to confidential patient information.
The role involves making decisions independently and in collaboration with others.
The Staff Nurse works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager.
Indirect supervision is provided by the Director of Nursing.
This position requires potential floating to various units with similar or lower-level acuity.
Holiday coverage is required.
