Job Description

Join our dynamic and fully functional 24 / 7 in-house Respiratory Therapy Department, responsible for providing essential care across multiple areas including ICU, ER, M / S, PEDS, and newborn stabilization. The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will demonstrate proficiency and compassion at the bedside of patients, primarily in adult care but also covering all age groups when required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver routine medication through invasive and non-invasive ventilator management as assigned.
  • Provide tracheostomy care and suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, and assist in high-risk deliveries.
  • Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform occasional EKGs as needed in support of the Cardiology Department.
  • Ensure effective airway management and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Current New York State license in hand prior to submission.
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP. Preferred certifications : PALS, RRT, STABLE.
  • Experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings.
