Their critical role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby.\n\nTheir responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assessing fetal heart rates, administering medications, providing pain management (including epidurals), assisting with inductions, and responding to emergency interventions. They offer essential emotional and physical support to patients and their families, collaborating closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams to provide the highest quality of care.\n\nBeyond clinical duties, a Labor and Delivery Nurse acts as an advocate and educator, guiding expectant parents through one of the most transformative moments of their lives. With strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, they are prepared to respond quickly to complications, such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress.   • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire\n
