3rd Shift Production & Sanitation Manager
A well-established food manufacturer is seeking a driven and hands-on 3rd Shift Production & Sanitation Manager to lead operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This individual will oversee all aspects of production and sanitation, driving performance across safety, quality, yield, and efficiency while maintaining the highest regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage all production and sanitation operations on 3rd shift
- Set and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand
- Oversee machine operation and coordinate material flow across departments
- Monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, yield, and efficiency
- Coach, develop, and engage a diverse hourly team to achieve departmental goals
- Ensure full compliance with GMP, HACCP, OSHA, USDA, and FDA standards
- Partner cross-functionally with Sanitation, Maintenance, HR, and Quality teams
- Identify and implement cost-saving and waste-reduction opportunities
- Utilize systems such as ShopLogix and Safety Chain for data and performance tracking
- Manage timekeeping, scheduling, and shift reporting to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications :
35 years of supervisory or management experience in food manufacturingHigh school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferredStrong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, OSHA, and food labeling / regulatory standardsProficient with production management tools and reporting systemsExperience with USDA, FDA, or NYS Organic standards a plusBilingual (English / Spanish) preferredWork Environment :
This role is based in a cold, wet, high-volume food production facility and requires regular standing, walking, and oversight of multiple departments. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting.
