Public API Developer

2 days a week onsite, Wed and Thurs-

• Public API Developer to support enhancements to its external data platform, which enables companies and individuals to access data via API. This role will focus on improving functionality, optimizing performance, and delivering a stronger user experience for the public-facing API hosted in Azure.
• Key Focus Areas :
• Develop and enhance API delivery and functionality within Azure-hosted environments.
• Collaborate on front-end and back-end solutions (approx. 60% backend / 40% frontend) using Java, Liquibase, and React.
• Work with SQL services to support data delivery and architecture.
• Contribute to microservices development and deployment pipelines leveraging containerization and data lake concepts.
• Follow established workflows and agile methodologies, including GitHub Actions, code commits / merges, and Jira backlog management.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• Strong experience with Azure services and API management .
• Proficiency in Java and Liquibase for backend development.
• Familiarity with SQL services and database structures.
• Working knowledge of React for frontend development.
• Experience with GitHub , Agile methodology , and modern DevOps practices.
• Preferred Skills :
• Experience with DataBricks and Parquet file structures .
• Exposure to microservices development and containerization.
• Azure certifications (Fundamentals or Administrator) are a plus.
• Role Details
• Location : Hybrid in Taylor, TX – onsite 2 days per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays). Relocation is not provided.
• Experience : Minimum 5+ years in relevant development roles.
• Duration : Contract position 12 months (no conversion planned).
• Interview Process : 1st round with hiring manager, followed by a technical interview (includes live coding).
