Position Title : OR Tech / Operating Room Technician

Location : Cooperstown NY

Job Type : Contract Local or Travel

Shift : Days (12x3)

Duration : 13-Week Assignment

Pay Rate : $45 to $51 / hr

Weekly Pay : $1552.50 to $1759.50 / week

Position Overview :

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking OR Tech / Operating Room Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cooperstown NY .

Key Responsibilities :

Perform scrubbing duties for a variety of surgical procedures ensuring proper aseptic technique

Prepare organize and maintain surgical instruments equipment and sterile supplies before during and after operations

Assist surgeons and RNs by anticipating needs and providing necessary instruments or materials promptly

Handle specimens medications media and instrument trays in accordance with facility protocols

Verify proper functioning of OR equipment and report any malfunctions

Participate in room turnover including cleaning and re-sterilization of instruments

Maintain accurate counts of instruments sponges and supplies to ensure patient safety

Collaborate with the surgical team to support efficient workflow and high-quality patient care

Adhere to infection control standards safety guidelines and hospital policies

Assist in maintaining adequate inventory and restocking of surgical supplies

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician program preferred

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) highly desirable or required depending on facility regulations

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) preferred

Prior experience as an OR Tech or Scrub Tech in an acute care or surgery center setting strongly preferred

Knowledge of sterile techniques surgical equipment and operating room procedures

Strong organizational communication and critical-thinking skills
