Banquet Captain

Position Summary

Under direct supervision of the GM of Hospitality, takes food and beverage orders from the guests, prepares the beverages ordered, serves the guests, and supervises banquet servers. Responsible for the banquet department when the General Manager is off-site.

• Assigns daily duties before, during, and after shifts.
• Trains staff and sets expectations, priorities, and service standards.
• Enforces company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Degree or GED plus three (3) years of experience in the restaurant or food service. Must be at least 19 years of age with current alcohol server certification. No felony, theft, or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug / alcohol screen and background investigation. Native American preference will be given.

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications

Ability to obtain food handler's certification within three months.
