Job descriptionAt least five years post-residency. Past exposure to forensic populations required, minimum two (2) years. Forensic experience required. Experience with forensic populations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of DOCCS and OMH rules. Additional certifications in forensic psychiatry. Experience in a similar institutional setting.
About the Role
We are looking for 1 Full-time (46 hours per week) Forensic Psychiatrist at Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center in the Bronx.
1300 Waters Pl, Bronx, NY 10461
- The candidate would see 4 patients to begin with, with the expectation of working up to 7-8 daily.
- This is a fast-paced environment, and any Locum Tenens would have to be able to follow DOCCS and OMH rules.
- On grounds parking available but also accessible by public transportation.
Responsibilities
The role will entail managing a caseload of forensic patients, adhering to institutional rules and regulations, and providing high-quality psychiatric care.

$235.00 per hour. Malpractice Insurance is included.
