American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Department RN with a current CA RN license, ACLS, BLS, MAB, and PALS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level I trauma center in the Pediatric Emergency DepartmentPatient population includes children and young adults up to 25 years oldHigh-volume ED with seasonal increases, particularly in winterVariable 12-hour shifts with start times at 0700, 1100, 1400, or 1900Shift schedule includes both day and night shifts, with weekend shifts requiredNo on-call or float requirementsThree designated triage areas and one fast track areaED tech support available for every nurse and in triageResponsible for managing care in a busy, high-acuity Pediatric Emergency settingMust be able to run codes internally as part of core responsibilitiesFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyA maximum of 7 days RTO may be allowed, but none in the first week of assignmentSupplemental required modules are completed during orientationA team environment utilizes strong support from ED techsHoliday and weekend coverage is required as part of this roleTravelers are not required to float for this assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active CA RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required; Pediatric ED experience preferredCertifications required : ACLS, BLS, MAB, and PALSMust provide two supervisor-level references from the relevant unit within the past year or from the most recent employerNot eligible if residing within 50 miles of the facilityReturn staff must have been separated for at least one year before re-applying\n Benefits\n
