Position Overview :

The PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Aide plays a critical role in promoting a safe and secure school environment. This individual is responsible for monitoring student behavior in hallways, the cafeteria, and other common areas, ensuring adherence to school rules and procedures. The PBIS Aide utilizes the SMARTPass system to manage and track student movement, ensuring they are in appropriate locations during designated times. This role requires close collaboration with the assistant principal to support student discipline and to uphold the school's behavior expectations. Additionally, the PBIS Aide provides general assistance in the main office as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor hallways, the cafeteria, and other common areas to maintain school safety and security.
• Oversee the SMARTPass system, ensuring students are in classrooms and hallways at appropriate times.
• Collaborate closely with the assistant principal to support with disciplinary actions and maintain a positive school climate.
• Provide assistance to the main office staff when needed, including helping with clerical tasks or supervising students.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration to support a positive and respectful school environment.
• Assist with school-wide events and activities that promote a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
