Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local car dealership in Zachary to add Service Mechanics to the team. If you enjoy figuring out what’s really going on under the hood and delivering great customer experiences, let’s talk.

Why this role

  • Full-time stability with a clear schedule : Monday–Friday 7 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM, plus every 3rd Saturday (half-day).
  • All skill levels are encouraged to apply—training is available.
  • Pay rate depends on experience.

What you’ll tackle

  • Use modern diagnostic tools to identify electrical, engine, and transmission issues.
  • Perform core maintenance services : oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and safety checks.
  • Verify repairs meet manufacturer standards and shop quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to clearly explain findings and next steps to customers.
  • Document labor, parts, and recommendations accurately on repair orders.
  • Follow shop safety procedures and help keep the workspace clean and stocked (trash, cleaning, inventory handling).
  • Share knowledge and assist junior techs when needed.

    • What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ASE certification preferred, not required.
  • Experience as an automotive technician / mechanic preferred; not required (we can train).
  • Solid grasp of automotive systems : engines, transmissions, electrical.
  • Comfortable operating diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and customer-first communication.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Some essential hand tools of your own.
