Step Into the Night : A Day-in-the-Life of Our Sanitation Pro
When your shift begins at 8 : 30 p.m., the production floor winds down and your work takes center stage. You’ll move from packaging areas to processing rooms, methodically sanitizing production equipment and facility spaces so the next day’s runs start clean, safe, and compliant.
Armed with power scrubbers and foamers, you’ll deep-clean equipment, floors, and touchpoints; safely stage and store industrial cleaning chemicals; and keep shared spaces like break rooms and restrooms fresh and stocked. You’ll document every task to support SSOP, HACCP, FDA, and GMP requirements, and immediately report any food safety concern you spot. Some nights, you’ll also serve as the backup to the Sanitation Supervisor, helping coordinate priorities and checks.
