Full-Time, Salaried – Clayton County, GA (South Atlanta)
We are a professional family in South Atlanta seeking a full-time Family Assistant to support our household, provide light teen support, and help us stay organized through busy schedules and frequent travel. This role blends gentle family support, household assistance, and personal/executive support. We’re looking for someone reliable, proactive, and warm, who can integrate into our family and help keep things running smoothly.
Compensation & Hours
- $60,000–$65,000 annual salary (approx. $29–$31/hour equivalent).
- Standard ~40 hrs/week, with occasional overtime when travel or projects require (advance notice provided).
- Flexible schedule; evenings/weekends rarely required, but availability needed during family travel periods.
- Benefits include PTO, sick time, holidays, employer-subsidized healthcare benefit available, and covered travel needs when accompanying family.
- Occasional domestic (1-2x quarterly) and international (1 – 2x per year) travel with the family (passport required). Occasional overnight care for child (1-2x per quarter).
Family Overview
- Parents: Married couple, both professionals working from home with regular travel.
- Child: One daughter, age 13 — independent, with parents managing most of her school/extracurricular needs. Family Assistant role is more about reminders, encouragement, and relationship-building than daily oversight.
- Pets: One miniature toy poodle (monthly grooming, occasional vet visits).
- Household: Weekly housekeeping in place; Family Assistant supports with light tidying and errands in between visits.
Primary Responsibilities
Family & Teen Support
- Maintaining medical info (doctor/dentist contacts, insurance, emergency protocols).
- Track household bills, due dates, account numbers, and support with scheduling vendors.
- School calendar coordination, teacher/tutor/extracurricular contacts.
- Driving as needed (school, activities, appointments – family vehicle provided).
- Provide gentle reminders and encouragement to support our daughter’s routines.
- Acting as a mentor and role model — fostering independence and positive decision-making.
- Build a positive, trusted relationship with her as part of family life.
- Occasional school pick-up/drop-off or activity transportation (family vehicle provided).
Household Assistance
- Light tidying and resets between housekeeping visits.
- Errands such as groceries, pharmacy, or returns.
- Pet care support as needed (feeding, vet/grooming drop-offs).
Personal & Executive Support
- Help manage family calendars and schedules.
- Maintaining medical info (doctor/dentist contacts, insurance, emergency protocols).
- Create and maintain communications protocol (what’s urgent, text vs. email).
- Provide organizational support for travel (packing lists, logistics, light coordination).
- Track expenses and receipts for reimbursements.
- Assist with small personal tasks such as gift tracking for holidays/birthdays.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Support family during travel periods, including:
- Occasional domestic and international travel with the family.
- Coordinating school, household, or personal needs when parents are away.
- Manage everyday household logistics such as:
- Receiving packages or deliveries.
o Coordinating with parents for special projects or seasonal needs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a Family Assistant, Personal Assistant, or similar support role.
- High School Diploma.
- Strong organizational skills; comfortable juggling household and personal tasks.
- Positive, approachable personality — able to connect with a teen through encouragement rather than authority.
- Reliable driver with a clean record.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally (passport required).
- Discreet and professional; able to maintain confidentiality and respect boundaries.
