Warehouse Manager
Primary Duties And Responsibilities :
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines, maintaining compliance at all times.
- Manage and execute material stocking transactions to ensure proper inventory control and accurate records.
- Support a wide range of warehouse activities, including operating forklifts, pallet movers, drum dollies, and carts to safely transport materials to and from production areas.
- Foster a culture of safety within the shipping department by promoting and adhering to best practices.
- Oversee and coordinate FedEx shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Assist with warehouse organization, labeling, and participate in 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, efficient work environment.
- Coordinate and communicate material replenishment between stock locations and production areas to ensure seamless operations.
- Interface with TMC / TMS daily to set up PPD / PPA shipments using prescribed Mauser carriers and software programs.
- Update TMC / TMS software to reflect any changes to Sales Orders (SO), as directed by customer service, production, or customer requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with various trucking companies, managing both phone and email correspondence to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Set up Bill of Lading (BOL) documents for nightly drum production based on customer service-provided production reports.
- Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, including coordinating dock door assignments, printing BOLs, and assisting with general transportation duties.
- Collaborate with the production team to assist in product creation, contributing up to 50% of time to production activities.
- Conduct daily grade-outs of drums to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Serve as a direct backup for office administrative duties, maintaining workflow continuity in the absence of key personnel.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager to support team operations.
Job Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant experience).0-1 year of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or receiving processes.Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of work.Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams, external customers, and vendors.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Quick learner with the ability to adapt to and master new software systems.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand or remain on feet for up to 8 hours during a shift.Capability to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb as necessary to perform job tasks.Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, with temperatures ranging from hot in the summer to cooler in the winter.Compensation :
Pay annual salary range is $65,000-$80,000
