About the Role

Secura Bio is looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the Pacific Northwest that will serve as a key scientific resource and strategic partner within our medical affairs team, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and research institutions in the Hemato-Oncology space. This field-based position requires a deep understanding of oncology therapeutics and the ability to communicate complex scientific information effectively to various stakeholders. The MSL will also coordinate with the Market Development Managers and Key Account Managers in their region to provide clinical and scientific product education to their customers.

MSLs report to the Director of Medical Science Liaisons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in assigned territory to communicate scientific information, research concepts, and educate on Secura Bio’s products.
  • Provide balanced, scientifically accurate information about Secura Bio’s pipeline and productsfor internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather and communicate insights from the field to internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a scientific resource supporting activities such as Medical Congress staffing, Advisory Boards, training initiatives, and planning meetings.
  • Partner with Clinical Development colleagues to support sponsored research initiatives that include, but are not limited to, site evaluation and identification, recruitment, investigator meetings, external expert identification, and external collaboration management.
  • Facilitate submission of investigator sponsored research proposals and manage communications with the investigators; support Secura Bio-sponsored research.
  • Assist Market Development Managers and Key Account Managers by providing support and / or education on Secura Bio’s products to customers as well as developing and executing territory plans designed to achieve aligned business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA, MSN or equivalent advanced scientific / medical degree required
  • 4+ years of experience in oncology required
  • Prior MSL experience strongly preferred (3+ years)
  • Understanding of oncology treatment paradigms, clinical pathways, and current research trends
  • Background in hematologic malignancies, especially lymphoma, is preferred
  • Deep understanding of cancer biology, mechanisms of action, and treatment modalities
  • Exceptional scientific communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with oncologists and researchers
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver scientific information to audiences of varying sizes
  • Proven ability to interpret complex clinical trial data and translate it into clear, clinically relevant insights
  • Experience building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in oncology
  • Understanding of drug development process and regulatory pathways
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and oncology practice patterns
  • Ability to identify clinical research opportunities and potential investigator collaborations
  • Strategic thinking to align scientific communications with company objectives
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues in marketing, clinical, and medical affairs
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently in a field-based position
  • Adaptability to changing scientific landscape and company priorities
  • Familiarity with compliance guidelines for pharmaceutical / biotech industry
  • Additional Requirements

  • 50 - 75% travel within assigned territory
  • Preference for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle Area (Must currently reside in territory)
  • Attendance at major oncology conferences such as ASCO, ASH, and SOHO, as well as regional conferences
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel occasionally on weekends for meetings and conferences
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Compliance with all industry regulations and company policies regarding interactions with healthcare professionals
