Located in Bangor, ME

Beds : 94 Peds – 50 beds; Adults – 44

Peds units are made up of all Private Rooms

Minimum years of experience required : 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing required

Pediatric BH exp preferred

Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes

Patient Types : Free standing acute inpatient facility – contracted ER 5 min away

All patients come from an ED and are medically cleared

Children and Adolescents receiving inpatient Mental Health services – ages 5 - 18

Common diagnoses include : Eating Disorders, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Gender Dysphoria

Traditional medical and psychiatric care in addition to specialized therapies such as : pet therapy, group sessions, recreation therapy (rock wall), community gardens

Patient Ratios : RN : Day – 1 : 5-6; Night – 1 : 13 with resource support (including Nursing support)

Psych Techs : Day – 6 Psych Techs; Night – 2 Psych Techs

Weekend rotation : every other; Sat / Sun

Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Holiday Expectations : expected to work holidays in rotation

Floating : Yes – between all pediatric units

Orientation : 1st week (Mon-Fri) – will work on Days; Second week (12h shifts as scheduled) - on shift contracted to
