We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our team on the first shift. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our shipping department. The successful candidate will have the ability to operate a forklift, knowledge of shipping procedures, international shipping regulations and transportation methods, and experience working in a fast-paced work environment. This position requires excellent time management skills, organizational abilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities :

1. Oversee all aspects of the shipping department, including labeling, packing, and loading the trailer.

2. Train and coach shipping associates and forklift drivers, promoting a safety culture at all times.

3. Monitor and reconcile inventory, coordinating and conducting monthly cycle counts.

4. Resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy in packing and loading.

5. Maintain and operate forklifts and yard trucks, adhering to ISO quality system.

6. Conduct daily kickoff meetings, assigning tasks and labor to ensure efficient operations.

7. Onboard new employees, providing them with the necessary training and support.

8. Utilize ERP system for domestic and international shipping, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

9. Prepare end of the shift reports, providing updates and feedback to management.

10. Promote and uphold ISO 9001 standards within the shipping department.

Qualifications :

1. 5+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management.

2. Proven ability to operate a forklift and a yard truck.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of shipping procedures, international shipping regulations, and transportation methods.

4. Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

6. Proficiency in MS Office.

7. Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

8. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

9. Experience with ISO quality systems, particularly ISO 9001.

10. Ability to train and coach team members, promoting a safety culture.

11. Experience with ERP systems, particularly in relation to domestic and international shipping.
