Responsibilities

Epic Application Analysts are the primary support contacts for their assigned Epic applications. They coordinate issues that arise in their application areas and are responsible for design, build, testing, optimization, and ongoing support of the application. Analysts must be knowledgeable about the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations, and collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to ensure Epic workflows align with patient care and organizational goals.

The Application Analyst I - HIM supports workflows related to chart completion and deficiency tracking, release of information (ROI), medical record coding, and scanning / transcription. Analysts at this level are responsible for achieving certification, resolving tickets, and building foundational expertise in HIM operations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

0-3 years Epic or healthcare IT experience required.

Understanding of HIM workflows, including chart tracking, ROI, and coding support.

Must obtain Epic HIM certification within 60 days of hire (up to 90 days allowable depending on module complexity).
