POSITION SUMMARY :

Engage in positive behaviors that make members feel welcome, connected and confident in their choice to be at the YMCA. Your position is essential to the accomplishment of overall YMCA goals. All levels of staff need to put the YMCA mission at the focus of everything they do; your impact to our organization and community goes far beyond just someone “who works here.”

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly. Must be comfortable in teaching all age groups (parent / child, preschool, youth, school age, adult and those with developmental disabilities).
• Attend staff and committee meetings as needed or directed by your supervisor. Demonstrate support for the YMCA by participating in special events.
• Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Complete incident and accident reports as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
