EDUCATION: Minimum: • Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program. Preferred: • Bachelors Degree in Nursing and/or certification in individual specialty. LICENSE: Minimum: • Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: • BLS, PALS, and ENPC required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum: • One year LTC experience Preferred: • Two or more years LTC experience SKILLS: Minimum: • One year of Med-Surg experience or LTC Charge Nurse experience. • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. • Computer literacy required • Demonstrated leadership abilities. Preferred: • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point.
