Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a CA license and Level III or IV NICU experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a hospital
  • Cares for critically ill neonates in a Level III / IV setting
  • 3x12 hour night shifts, 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Voluntary call may be available
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • Responsible for direct patient care, patient and family education, and care transitions in an acute NICU setting
  • Develops and coordinates individualized plans of care addressing holistic patient needs
  • Modules and orientation are completed through e-learning, typically 1 to 5 hours
  • Only one holiday will be approved for time off during assignment
  • Locals are accepted at a local rate

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years' Level III or IV NICU RN experience required
  • Charge and delivery experience strongly preferred
  • All certifications must be from AHA and in hand at time of consideration
  • Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of signing
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignment
  • Return staff must have been gone at least one year to be eligible as a traveler
