Job Description
Position Overview :
The successful candidate will join the Department of Biomedical Sciences and be a part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team (immunologists, bacteriologists, virologists, parasitologists, epidemiologists and pathologists) focused on various aspects of infectious diseases including immunology and immunopathology. The team also collaborates on teaching and research with colleagues in the Department of Clinical Sciences. The successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in immunology and in teaching immunology to professional DVM and postgraduate students, and also have the ability to instruct students in the application of that knowledge to clinical practice. The successful candidate will also be responsible for teaching a portion of the veterinary virology and principles of infectious disease courses to DVM students. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute a portion of his / her time to our online Master's program in One-Health. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate in research programs, resulting in publications in peer-reviewed journals, and participate in Master's and PhD programs. As and when required, s / he may also contribute to the diagnostic service delivered by the technical team within the Diagnostic Laboratory. S / he will report to the Head of Department, Biomedical Sciences.
