Job Description
We're seeking a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer who is ready to own hands-on
development, platform administration, and data management in a dynamic digital retail environment. This is a technical execution role, ideal for someone who is fluent in SFMC capabilities.
In this role, you'll build customer journeys, manage critical data models and integrations, and act as the system admin for our SFMC platform. You'll collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, personalized campaigns that are scalable, compliant, and data-driven.
Key Responsibilities
SFMC Campaign Development
- Build journeys, automations, dynamic content, and transactional sends using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, AMPscript, SQL, and HTML / CSS
- Create and maintain reusable email templates, content blocks, and logic frameworks
- Ensure proper QA / testing, rendering, and tracking across devices and use case Data Modeling & Data Extension Management
- Design and manage Data Extensions, Contact Builder data relationships, and segmentation strategies
- Enforce data retention policies, hygiene standards, and schema consistency
- Troubleshoot audience misfires, segmentation gaps, and syncing issues
System Administration
Administer SFMC business units, user roles, configurations, and platform settingsMaintain integration settings and troubleshoot connection issues (FTP, APIs, data feeds)Monitor platform performance and health across journeys, automations, and triggered sendsIntegration & API Collaboration
Support or co-manage data feeds and external integrations (e.g., Salesforce Core, Commerce Cloud, CDPs, product data)Use REST / SOAP APIs or automation activities to facilitate syncing and triggered campaignsWork with dev teams to ensure data flows align with campaign needsConsent & Preference Management
Contribute to development or optimization of a preference center or consent mechanism using CloudPages or external data sourcesEnsure opt-in / opt-out preferences sync across systems and support regulatory compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA)Platform Enablement & Best Practices
Document technical implementations, logic frameworks, and naming conventionsContribute to process improvements, reusability efforts, and scalable development patternsAssist in mentoring junior team members or offshore developers when neededQualifications
Required :
6+ years hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experienceStrong expertise in AMPscript, SQL, and SFMC modules : Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation StudioProven experience managing Data Extensions, relational data models, and contact schemasComfortable acting as SFMC platform administrator, managing permissions, BUs, and configurationFamiliar with APIs, external data feeds, FTPs, and SFMC integration flowsStrong attention to detail, QA process, and documentationExcellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and marketing stakeholdersPreferred :
Exposure to Salesforce Core (Sales / Service Cloud) or Salesforce Commerce CloudFamiliarity with preference center setup or consent compliance workflowsSalesforce certifications (Developer, Consultant, or Email Specialist)Experience working in retail, ecommerce, or high-volume B2C environments.
